BIG LOVE CALLS – Weekly, Sunday Afternoons 4PM and Thursday Evenings 7PM

As we face the uncertainty, fear, grief and even boredom ignited by Covid19, I thought to do what I do best — “convene” groups of people to be present to each other, and to talk about what has heart and meaning.

For the foreseeable future, I’ll be scheduling twice weekly Zoom calls whose purpose is to connect us and inspire us, whether with poetry, songs, psalms, stillness, or art. Everyone is welcome and there is no obligation — join in when you feel moved to do so — once or often.

Sundays at 4PM and Thursdays at 7PM.

If you’d like to be on the list to receive the Zoom call-in information on a regular basis, please email me. If you are nervous about the technology, I’d be happy to schedule a 15-minute trial call so you can experience what’s involved. I’ve found Zoom quite easy and very intuitive. It gets high marks from users.

Sunday March 22nd 3:30 – 5:30PM

STRONG HOPE, DEEP COURAGE, BIG LOVE ~ A Climate Conversation with Jennifer Comeau has been postponed until a later date. Please check this website for an update.

PUBLISHED: A Dangerous New World: Maine Voices on the Climate Crisis, edited by Meghan Sterling and Kathleen Sullivan, an anthology of work by 65 writers and 20 artists, including Jennifer, whose essay is among poetry, essays and art work on the effects of climate change – on their lives, their communities, their families, and their futures. The anthology is a many-layered and complex mosaic of voices and visions. We see changes along the coast through the eyes of lobstermen and clammers, changes in the woods through the eyes of forest walkers and birders. We hear stories of changes in the landscape, feelings of foreboding and loss. Published by Littoral Books with a foreword by Governor Janet Mills. All profits to be donated to 350 Maine. To order.

PUBLISHED: Sacred Stone Sacred Water  ~ Writers and Artists Encounter Ireland, an anthology of poetry, essays, photography, and art about the mysterious pull of Ireland. Three of Jennifer’s prose poems are featured. Published by White Cloud Press, you can order your copy here, or from your Indie bookseller.
